Deleting your data

If you removed AutomateIt from Facebook

Facebook tells us as soon as you do, and we begin removing your data straight away. You do not need to do anything else. Facebook shows you a confirmation code at that moment — keep it, and you can check on the request at any time at /data-deletion/<your code>.

What gets deleted

Everything belonging to the business account you connected:

• • Conversations and messages, including anything customers sent you
• • Contacts and the notes the assistant kept about them
• • Orders, carts and payment references
• • Your products, knowledge base and assistant settings
• • Every access token and key we held for you, including for connected services

What we keep, and why

We keep records we are required by law to keep — invoices and tax records, for the period the law sets. These hold the transaction, not your conversations. We also keep a note that a deletion request was made, so that we can answer you if you ask about it later.

If you would rather write to us

You do not have to go through Facebook. Email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm within 72 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days.

If you are a customer of a shop that uses AutomateIt

Your conversation belongs to the shop you were messaging, not to us — we hold it on their behalf. Ask the shop directly, and they can remove it. If you cannot reach them, write to us at the address above and we will pass your request on and follow up.
